Uttarakhand is an ideal destination for students seeking higher professional education. Admissions to undergraduate engineering courses available at various engineering colleges will be conducted by the Uttarakhand Technical University, which is the only affiliating university of the state managing private as well as government institutions. There are 4 constituent and 118 affiliated colleges with 50,000 students in pursuing various courses.

Uttarakhand is also home to other institutes of repute like the Indian Military Academy, IIT (Roorkee), NIT Uttarakhand (NITUK) and IIM (Kashipur).

This year, admission to engineering colleges in Uttarakhand is based on JEE(Main) 2016 scores. The JEE (Main) 2016 paper and pen mode exam has been scheduled on 03/04/2016 whereas the online objective paper will be held on 09/04/2016 and 10/04/ 2016. This 3-hour paper will assess students’ knowledge in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. The paper will have 90 questions worth 360 marks. Every correct answer will earn you 4 marks, while 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

The Quantum School of Technology is based in Roorkee and is affiliated to the Uttarakhand Technical University. The institute was established in 2008 and is approved by AICTE, New Delhi.

The institute has all the necessary infrastructure like a Wi-fi campus, facilities for disabled, language lab, library, workshops, sports & health club and transport facility. The college also conducts technical training, industrial visits and guest lectures for the students.

The college has a training and placement cell to guide students during internships and final placements.
