Punjab Postal Circle, India Post has published the recruitment notification for the posts of Gramin Dak Sevaks. There are a total of 851 vacancies available for the GDS posts, such as Branch Postmaster, Assistant Branch Postmaster and Dak Sevak in places like – Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Patiala, RMS LD Divison, Sangrur, Amritsar, Bhatinda, Faridkot, Ferozpur, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar and Kapurthala.
Punjab Postal GDS Application has started since 5th August and will continue till 4th September 2019. Eligible candidates can apply for the Punjab Postal GDS post through the official website at www.appost.in/gdsonline .The selection will be done based on an automatically generated merit list.

Salary Details of Punjab Postal Circle Gramin Dak Sevaks
Minimum TRCA for 4 hours or Level 1 in TRCA slab
- Branch Postmaster – Rs 12,000 (Rs 12,000 – Rs 29,380)
- Assistant Branch Postmaster/ Dak Sevak – Rs 10,000 (Rs 10,000 – Rs 24,470)
Minimum TRCA for 5 Hours or Level 2 in TRCA slab
- Branch Postmaster – Rs 14,500 (Rs 14,500 – Rs 35,480)
- Assistant Branch Postmaster / Dak Sevak – Rs 12,000 (Rs 12,000 – Rs 24,470)
In order to apply, candidates are required to have a minimum qualification of 10th standard, along with pass marks in Mathematics and English. Candidates should have also studied the local language, at least up to class 10, as compulsory or elective subjects as declared by the State Government or according to the Constitutional Provisions relating to the 8th schedule of the Constitution of India. Candidates from 18 to 40 years can apply for the posts.
