Prometric, the testing services provider that executes the computer-based Common Admissions Test (CAT) by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) on Thursday announced the opening of two new testing facilities. According to Prometric, “The new flagship centres meet the highest global standards for security, reliability, consistency of candidate experience, and convenience.”
Both centers will dedicatedly serve Prometric’s global clients to perform assessments in India. That includes the CAT. According to a Livemint report, the centers are a move towards Prometric getting rid of its on-ground partners Everonn and MeritTrac and go solo in conducting the CAT.
“This decision to open these facilities represents an ongoing expansion and improvement of Prometrics testing network which currently includes approximately 450 test centres in 102 cities in India, and more than 10,000 globally. The two new facilities are opening in Gurgaon and Hyderabad. The Gurgaon facility opened its doors to candidates over a week ago and offers 226 new seats. The Hyderabad facility offers 284 new seats and officially opened to candidates in August,” said Prometric Managing Director Soumitra Roy.
Both the centres have been built according to the highest global standards and specifications for highly secure and robust testing facilities to ensure that the right test is delivered to the right candidate in a secure and consistent manner, said Prometric.
The additional capacity provided by these new test centres will also offer more flexibility and convenience to the candidate community.
