The Post Graduate Diploma (Financial services) is two year full time
program approved by AICTE Delhi was started by K.J.Somaiya Institute of
Management studies and Research, Mumbai from the academic year 2011.
This program offers a unique integration of
management concepts in financial markets and techniques followed for market
analysis and practices as well as policy formulation. The overall objective of
the program is to prepare and enhance the knowledge of the participants in the
domestic as well as global Financial Services which enable them to understand
the market complexity and take effective decisions.
This program proposes to facilitate the expansion of knowledge
horizon through learning basic and modern concepts, techniques and best
practices in the area of financial markets and services along with a close
synergy with other business functions which is prerequisite for an overall
development.

banking, insurance, capital market, credit rating agencies, housing finance
companies, investment banking, leasing, financial planning and other financial
services prefer this program.The focus
here is on finance area right from first year of the program. In other programs
specializing finance, first year is consisting of general subjects on
management and specialization starts with second year.
