The Power
Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), is an Indian state-owned electric utilities company
headquartered in Gurgaon,
India. POWERGRID transmits about 50% of the total
power generated in India on its transmission network. Its subsidiary company, Power System Operation
Corporation Limited (POSOCO) handles
power management for Power Grid. POWERGRID also operates a telecom business
under the name POWERTEL.
PGCIL has invited candidates
for the field officer positions. The details of these vacancies are as follows

Educational qualification :
Candidate should possess a masters degree in natural resource management/environmental
science/environmental engineering or equivalent from recognised institute or
university with at least 55% of marks OR
Graduate in any Engineering discipline with Post Graduate
Diploma in Environmental Science/ Environmental Management or equivalent from
recognized institute / University with 55% marks.
Experience : Candidate Should have one year post
qualification experience in field of Environment Management, Environment Impact
Assessment (EIA) studies, Preparation/ Implementation of Environment Management
Plan (EMP), Forest Clearance, Environment Audit etc. Experience in PSU/ Listed
company particularly in Power Sector shall be preferred.
Method of selection : Selection of the candidates will be
based upon personal Interview.
