With CAT 2013 almost halfway through it’s 21 day journey and with around 75,000 people done with it, a very common thing these days is candidates broadcasting their number of attempts all over the FB prep groups and asking fellow groupies to predict their percentile. Also the people around us in colleges or workplaces are so keen on knowing our performance in CAT and predict which IIM we’ll be residing in for the next 2 years.
I have come across many of them and it’s been only 3 days since I appeared for CAT. I found it really funny earlier but now it’s so damn creepy! It’s like a difficult probability question with so many unknown variables involved, that I am all set to avoid but everyone else is so interested to mess with it for the sake of getting an answer, never minding the fact how terribly wrong they might be.
I personally like calling them “predictor babas.” Some people are running away from them while others feeling the wait for the results is a really long one, seek them out. Yes, there are another 80 days to go before everyone will know the actual fruit their hard work bears but I am sure these babas can’t provide you anything more than ‘babaji ka thullu ? ‘. So instead of worrying the hell out of oneself over the results, one can rather spend the same time focusing on other things that matter as well. For a start, quite a few other exams to prepare for, catching up on some good movies, shows which we delayed watching for the sake of staying focused on one thing that’s studies, catching up with friends we haven’t seen since months etc.
I’ll end by saying that take a back seat as now you are done with CAT. Festive season is on so indulge in it,live it up guys. And for those who are yet to appear for it, all the very best and stay away from the percentile babas doing the rounds.

neend to sabki udhni hai aage chalkar..isliye ab jumkar khaana, peena aur sona ? “
