South India’s prominent Management School, Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA), had recently organized an outbound training program for the first-year students of its flagship MBA program. The training session was organized in the month of June 2017 at Pegasus Institute for Excellence in Pondicherry. The training program was organized with an aim to offer a foundation for students to build leadership qualities and inherit managerial skills.
The outbound training program comprised of various high energy sessions spread across three days. With 120 students participating in a series of activities, the training session helped nurture skill sets in areas of teamwork, communication, leadership, time management, problem-solving, decision making, motivation, change and personal development. The students coming from diverse geographical backgrounds helped each other in embracing different cultures through these activities as a part of the training program.
The outbound training program also offered students an opportunity to work closely with their peers in the form of training activities, analytically solving problems, Leadership, and team building activities. At the end of the training sessions, students were groomed with a strong sense of achievement orientation and exposure to real life team situations.
Commenting on the outbound training program, Fr. P.Christie SJ, Director – LIBA, said “The outbound training program organized by LIBA annually has been curated with the need to emphasize on understating management concepts outside the classroom environment. This training program will equip and prepare the students to face the challenges in the corporate world”.
