The Optical Response Sheet (ORS) is a defining feature of JEE Advanced. It holds the key to a candidate’s engineering dreams. The paper consists of two pages with the same layout. The students need to mark answers on the first page, and it will stay with the invigilator. The second page of the ORS will be given to students after the exam is over.
It is important that a candidate applies adequate pressure so as to leave an impression on the second page. Also, one has to be careful of the alignment of pages; it should not be disturbed. Only a black ball point pen or pencil should be used to mark answers on the ORS.

Students should mark their responses carefully. Prof A. K. Srivastava of Brilliant Institute, New Delhi, always advises his students to keep blackening the bubbles on ORS while solving the paper.
During the exam, candidates are given the original admit card after invigilators and IIT representatives have verified their identity.
A candidate should carry three important things to the exam hall:
– A printed copy of the downloaded Admit Card
– Original photo identity proof
– Black ballpoint pen
The exam will be held on May 22, 2016.
