The examination conducted by Odisha Public Service Commission is schedules to be held on 17th of November 2019. This examination is conducted to select candidates for Assistant Agriculture Engineer post.
Agriculture Engineer solves problems regarding pollution and environmental issues, power supplies, the use of structures and facilities, machine efficiency, and the storage and processing of agricultural products.
They also make use of computers to design software for efficient functioning of various systems. Modify various environmental conditions such as air flow and other factors that affect the growth of crops.
Those who have applied for the exam can now download the admit card on the official website of OPSC i.e. www.opsc.gov.in. The download link will be available till 15th of November 2019.
This exam is aimed at recruiting candidates to fill in 130 vacancies for the post of Assistant Agriculture Engineers (Group B) of Odisha Agriculture and Food Production Services. The various vacancies can be given as follows:
- Unreserved: 41
- SEBC: 27
- SC: 27
- ST: 35
- Total: 130
The application had started from 17th of July 2019 and had ended on 16th August 2019. The educational qualification for the exam was to have a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering from any university or Institution recognized by State Government or Government of India.
The age criteria were specified as 21 minimum years of age and 32 maximum years of age. Other conditions also included that the candidate must have knowledge of Odia language. The examination fee was given as 500 rupees only. Those candidates who belong to SC/ST/PH need not pay the fees.
The selection process included:
- Written Test (MCQ)
- Viva Voce test
The written test is conducted for 200 marks and consists of 2 papers of 100 marks each where each question will carry 1 mark. The examination is of 2 hours duration. There will be no negative marking involved.
The viva-voce test is conducted for 25 marks. The score of both the written and the viva voce test are considered for preparing the final merit list of candidates.

- Step 2: Click on the link showing ‘OPSC Assistant Agriculture Engineer Exam 2019’ on the homepage.
- Step 3: Enter the registration number, date of birth and click on the submit button.
- Step 4: Then the admit card will be displayed on the screen
- Step 5: Candidates can download the admit card for further reference and can preferably keep a hard copy of the same.
The pay scale for the OPSC Assistant Agriculture Engineers is between Rs. 9,300 to Rs. 34,800/- along with the Grade pay of Rs. 4,600/- along with the usual allowances and facilities by the Government of Odisha.
