The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra, will conduct the Maharashtra Health and Technical Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) for admission to state’s engineering colleges in May 2017. An official from DTE, Maharashtra, confirmed to PaGaLGuY, that the pattern of the test will be same as 2016’s, and there will be no changes in the syllabus as well.
Pattern for MHT-CET 2017:
– Physics and Chemistry, 50 marks each
– Mathematics, 100 marks
With no negative marking to worry about and only Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), aspirants can attempt as many questions as possible. Application forms for MHT-CET 2017 are expected to be available from December last week or January first week, at schools and colleges, in Maharashtra. The application fee for MHT-CET 2016 was Rs 800 + Rs 60 (Bank commission), which is likely to remain the same.
MHT-CET is the gateway for admission to the four-year full-time engineering degree courses in the state. About four lakh candidates took the test in 2016, across 36 districts of Maharashtra.
