NMS offers a two year full-time MBA and a two-year Professional MBA (on weekends for working executives). Collaborations
NMS collaboration with Georgia State University (GSU) provides it with international faculty, and its collaboration with Temple University bring students from the US to the classroom in NMS; offering students a truly global program.
Faculty
NMS has the largest contingent of visiting faculty from the US, each accomplished in their own right, almost all with American Phds; truly bringing international education to India like never before.
Facility
The program is offered at its state-of-the-art facility on the IT Corridor in Chennai. Excellent student housing is offered to match the worlds best student accommodation facilities.
Curriculum:
The program curriculum reflects that of Georgia State’s, tailored to suit Indian contexts, and based on AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) standards – the highest accrediting body for management education in the US, ensuring absolute credibility and quality in the fundamental structure and design of each course. The certificate, equivalent to that from any US University, is co-signed by Deans of The National Management School and Georgia State University.
Integrative Learning:
The program is uniquely designed with a 3-dimensional specialization Functional Discipline, Industry Analysis, Country Study; offering participants the kind of exposure that is not otherwise possible in a typical management program. A differentiated teaching approach, with CXO interaction being part of regular academics, adds industry relevance and gives the student a chance to apply theoretical frameworks.
Industry Interaction:
NMS students get the benefit of interacting with industry leaders in various ways. Industry interaction happens through Understudy, Consulting Practicum, Business Plan Preparation, Internships and CXO visits.
The CXO Panel comprises of senior executives from the industry, the government and NGOs. These CXOs will each spend ONE full day with these students during these 2 years. The courses have been scheduled in such a way that these CXO interactions will happen during alternate weeks when classes are not scheduled.
Financial Assistance:
Despite the high cost of delivering international quality, NMS charges a fee lower than that of several other institutions, and has financial assistance packages which enable students to pay just Rs. 20,000 a month for 72 months; an offer unlike any in the market today. This makes the program viable for families even with a monthly income of just over Rs. 30,000.
Additionally, the school offers the Diamonds in your own backyard scholarship program; an initiative through which students may avail scholarships ranging from 25% to 100% of the program fee.
Affiliation
NMS has deliberately not sought AICTE approval. Its focus is on delivering international education, leveraging the best intellectual capital from international universities, and with an emphasis not merely on the quantity of resources but on the quality of investments, resources and processes. In fact, NMS is seeking approval and affiliation from a higher international authority.
Thought Leadership
NMS recently launched its new WHITESPACE Executive Session Series for Senior and Middle Management ; seminars on a wide range of topics conducted by NMS faculty.
