NMAT, or NMIMS Management Aptitude Test, is conducted by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) every year as an entrance exam for students willing to build a career as MBAs. The scores of NMAT provides students into Narsee Monjee Institute of Management studies and several other colleges providing a course in MBA.
14th October, 2019 is the last date for applying for the NMAT exam, following which the registration for the 2019 exam will be closed. Candidates must make an application at the earliest, if it is still pending. However, it is the last day of NMAT application without the late fee.
The registrations for NMAT 2019 had started in the month of July itself. Candidates who have registered without the late fee had to pay a total of Rs 2000/- + GST for the application.
The scores achieved in NMAT will also be valid for several other top MBA colleges besides NMIMS. These colleges include L M Thapar College, XIMB, ISB, Shiv Nadar College, SDA Bocconi College etc. Candidates must achieve a minimum of 90 percentile in order to qualify for admissions in these best colleges. The NMAT entrance exam is a national level exam that is conducted across various cities in India.

With the Registration closing, the NMAT, which is a computer-based test, will have a 75-day test window for undertaking the exam. The window will be available from the first week of October, that is 4th October and will be available till the 17th of December. For the NMAT exam, candidates will have the option to choose their date and time for appearing for the exam according to their own convenience.
The location for the exam is also decided in the same way. Candidates will also have the chance to take not more than 2 retakes.
The NMAT exam sports three sections in the exam which are to be completed in a stipulated time limit. The three sections are on –
- Language skills
- Quantitative Skills
- Logical Reasoning
It is popularly considered that the difficulty level of NMAT is moderate as compared to other MBA entrances like CAT, XAT and SNAP.

Candidates will also have to register themselves if they want to retake the NMAT exam. The registrations for this purpose will begin from 5th October and end on 14th December, 2019.
With the examinations over by December, the results of the NMAT 2019 will be announced by the third week of January, 2020. The students will be provided the time till 31st March, 2020 to download their scorecard.
