National Institute of Technology, Bhopal
Maulana Azad College of technology (MACT) started functioning in 1960 at Govt. S. V. polytechnic in Bhopal. In 2002 the institute received the status of Deemed University fully funded by MHRD Govt. of India and was renamed as Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology Bhopal (MANIT). It is also known as National Institute of Technology, Bhopal (NIT Bhopal).In the beginning five years degree program in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical was launched.
In 1963, five year program in Architecture (B. Arch) started. In 1964, Institute is shifted to its own building in the present campus. The campus is located on a beautiful plateau with a green 650-acre campus. It has 9 hostels(including 2 girls hostels) with 24 hours security. MANIT has a Computer Center, Canteen, Workshops, Athletic Ground, Sports Complex, Gym, Energy Center and the open air auditorium. The campus houses about 4,000 students and faculty members. There is also Lotus Lake and a Boat club.

NIT Bhopal provides 4 year Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Electronics & Communication, Computer Science and Information Technology. The Architecture course is of 5 years & B.Planning is of 4 years.

· SportsMania – annual sports meet
· Samadhan – annual national level programming test
