The process of re-checking the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2013 papers has been completed. Fresh score-cards have been issued to all candidates. Prof Vishwa Ballabh, Head of Admissions at Xavier Institute of Management (XLRI) told PaGaLGuY that the cut-offs will be designed in a manner which will benefit all.

The examination of all the papers by the special committee set up by Prof Ballabh just concluded the re-checking process. Accordingly, it was found out there was an error in the Quant section and not in the Verbal and Decision Making.
Since all papers have been re-checked, many will possibly get new scores the second time around. “We regret the error and understand the anguish the candidates have gone through. But it is important to be correct which is why we checked all papers. Yes, there was a technical mismatch and that is why the error happened. I take full responsibility for what happened,” said Prof Ballabh.
The re-checking also means that XLRI will invite some 300-400 candidates additionally for the interviews. Which also means that those who already got PI calls from XLRI need not worry, those candidates will still be called irrespective of their news scores. “We are going to be fair to everyone, so no one needs to worry,” sad Prof Ballab.
The XAT cut-offs for HRM is – 85 percentile in EL, 80 percentile in DM, 54.59 percentile in QA and overall 88 percentile.
The XAT cut-offs for BM is – 80 percentile in EL, 80 percentile in DM, 76.2 percentile in QA and overall 91.25 percentile.
