Due to inclement weather conditions caused by cyclone Vardah in Chennai, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) PG, that was supposed to take place today, has been deferred to December 16. The test will take place in the morning session at all the six test centres across the city.

The candidates will be able to download their new admit cards with details of re-scheduled test venue and time, from the website nbe.prometric.com. Candidates will have to login through their log in id and password to download the admit card from 3 pm onwards tomorrow (December 14).

The notification published by National Board of Examination (NBE) hasn’t yet mentioned anything about the candidates who couldn’t take their exam due to bad weather on December 12 in Chennai. Earlier today, the NBE Executive Director, Dr. Bipin Batra tweeted about the cancellation of the examination due to adverse weather conditions in Chennai.

Candidates, who were travelling from different part of the country to Chennai, were left clueless the entire day.

One such candidate Pankaj Bantiya requested the NBE to conduct the examination on December 14 through twitter, as he is an outstation candidate. Abhinatha Raju, another medico from Kanchipuram wanted to know about the schedule for candidates who couldn’t take their examination in the afternoon session of December 12.

Krishnakanth KS, a medico from Coimbatore suggested to shift the test centres from Chennai, as it is getting re-scheduled repeatedly for one reason or the other.

NEET PG examination took place from December 5 to 13, at 41 test centres across the country. It was deferred thrice in Chennai on December 6, 12 and 13 after the demise of Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa followed by cyclone Vardha. The examination concluded in other parts of the country today.
