National Board of Examination (NBE), an autonomous organization established by Government of India, will conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) PG 2017 for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses from December 5 to 13, 2016. The NEET PG (Dental) will be conducted from November 30 to December 3, 2016.
Both NEET PG(Medical) and NEET PG (Dental) will be centralised examinations for postgraduate admission in medical and dental colleges across the country. There will be no other examination conducted separately by any other medical/dental colleges after NEET 2017. Till now, most of the private/deemed universities and state medical admission authorities conducted their own admission tests for admission in postgraduate medical/dental courses.
The tests will be carried out in 86 test centres at 41 cities across the country. There will be a total of 300 MCQs for the NEET PG (Medical) exam, while the NEET PG (Dental) will comprise of 240 MCQs from the MBBS/BDS curriculum followed at medical/dental colleges in India as per the Graduate Medical/Dental Education Regulation notified by Medical Council of India(MCI). It will be a computer-based test, carried across the test centres in the country.
The website of National Board of Examination (NBE) will be accessible from September 24, 2016 giving details about the examination. Online registration for NEET PG (Medical/Dental) will begin on September 26, 2016 at the official website of NBE. The registration and application procedure will be online for the examination.
Important Dates:
