NCDC (The National Cooperative Development Corporation) was established by the act of parliament in 1963 as a statutory corporation under the Ministry of Agriculture. It functions on the planning, promoting and financing programmes for marketing, production, processing, storage, import and export of the agricultural produce, foodstuffs etc.
There are a number of posts in NCDC namely, Dy. Director, Assistant Director, Programme Officer, Senior Personal Assistant, Senior Assistant, Personal Assistant, and Junior Assistant. The job location will be anywhere in India.
Through the NCDC exam, they have planned to fill up the 70 vacancies for the above-mentioned posts. The NCDC is conducting the written exam to test the knowledge and skills of the individuals. The exam was conducted on September 22nd and 23rd, 2018. The exam was conducted for the posts of director and assistants.
The exam is a computer-based exam. The candidates who clear the CBT will be eligible for personal interview. There is no negative marking in computer-based exam.
The exam pattern for the senior assistant, junior assistant, personal assistant, senior personal assistant, deputy director (general), assistant director (general), program officer (general)
- Section A- 30 MCQ
- Section B- 40 MCQ
- Section C- 40 MCQ
- Section D- 40 MCQ total 150 questions.
The exam pattern for deputy director (finance), assistant director (finance), Assistant director (legal), assistant director (textile), assistant director (sugar)
- Section A- 75 MCQ
- Section B- 25 MCQ
- Section C- 25 MCQ
- Section D- 25 MCQ total 150 questions.
The exam pattern for program officer part 1 consisting of section A and B. Section A containing 70 MCQ and Section B containing 25 MCQ and Section C containing 120 MCQ. Part 2 consisting of translation test (English to Hindi and Hindi to English) for 15 marks each for 150 marks.

For the posts of deputy director and Assistant director, the candidates will be shortlisted on the performance of CBT and will be called for interview. For the post of programme officer, the selection will be based on the merit list of CBT and will be called for document verification. Likewise, for the posts of senior personal assistant and assistant, the candidates will be shortlisted based on the performance of CBT and they shall be called for shorthand skill test. The candidates who qualify the shorthand skill will be called for computer skill test and typing speed test.
For the posts of senior assistant and junior assistant the candidates are shortlisted on the performance of CBT and will be called for the test of assessment of computer knowledge.
The selection of all the posts shall be based on the weight age of 80:20, implying 80% marks for the computer-based exam, and 20% marks for personal interview, skill test among others.
The computer based cut off marks the NCDC may at its discretion, declare the category wise minimum qualifying marks aimed at shortlisting the candidates for personal interview, skill test as well as document verification round.
The exam conducting authority will release the cut off after the results are announced. The result can be checked through logging on to the official website. The cut off is the minimum pass mark in the exam call. The cut off is the minimum qualifying marks that the candidate obtained to qualify the respective exam. The cut off marks may depend on the following factors:
- Number of candidates appeared in the exam
- The Number of candidates qualified in the exam.
- Availability of vacancies.
- The difficulty level of question paper.
The NCDC written exam merit list will be declared based on the top marks obtained by the candidate. The final selection to the posts shall be conducted in order of merit list in both the computer-based test, personal interview, skill test, involving the document verification called by the NCDC involving the procedures.
