The JEE 2015 Seat Allocation process for the NITs (National Institute of Technology) is finally over and the NITs are scheduled to begin their academic year in the month of August. So, let us now take a look at the cutoffs/closing ranks in 2015 for the different NITs. This series of articles will help you understand the cutoffs/closing ranks for selection to each of the various branches in the different NITs in 2015. This will also give you some idea about the expected cutoffs/closing ranks for admission to the different IITs in 2016.
Candidates were finally selected to the NITs on the basis of their performance in the JEE Main 2015 and their performance in the Class 12 exam. This was also the first time that the NITs were a part of the Joint Seat Allocation Process that involved other reputed institutions like the IITs, ISM Dhanbad, IIITs and Other GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutes).
In this article, let us take a look at the cutoffs/closing ranks for the National Institute of Technology, Mizoram.
NIT Mizoram established in 2010 is an institute situated in the scenic beauty of Mizoram.
The Institute is currently functioning in a temporary campus in the city of Aizawl. It comprises of an Administrative Block and 3 Academic Blocks at Chaltlang, 3 boys hostel blocks at Tanhril and 1 girls hostel block at Zemabawk. The classes are currently operating from Dawrkawn, locality of Aizawl.
The permanent campus is to be located at Lengpui, Aizawl district. The Govt. of Mizoram has already given 164 acres of land to the Institute at this location. Another 86 acre of land will be given to the institute making it a total of 250 acre. The institute’s foundation stone was laid by Kapil Sibal, Minister of Human Resource Development on 13 October 2012. At the undergraduate level (B. E. / B. Tech.), this college offers 90 seats in 5 different branches. Selections to these seats is done on the basis of a student’s All India Rank in the JEE Main 2015. .The list given below mentions the opening and closing ranks of students across different categories that were selected to the various courses at this NIT in 2015.
