The JEE 2015 Seat Allocation process for the NITs (National Institute of Technology) is finally over and the NITs are scheduled to begin their academic year in the month of August. So, let us now take a look at the cutoffs/closing ranks in 2015 for the different NITs. This series of articles will help you understand the cutoffs/closing ranks for selection to each of the various branches in the different NITs in 2015. Candidates were finally selected to the NITs on the basis of their performance in the JEE Main 2015 and their performance in the Class 12 exam. This was also the first time that the NITs were a part of the Joint Seat Allocation Process that involved other reputed institutions like the IITs, ISM Dhanbad, IIITs and Other GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutes).

In this article, let us take a look at the cutoffs/closing ranks for the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra.

Founded in 1963 as Regional Engineering College Kurukshetra, the institute was rechristened as National Institute of Technology on June 26, 2002. The Institute started functioning in its present campus at Kurukshetra, Haryana in 1965-66 with 120 students. The annual intake was increased to 250 students in 1966-67. The PhD. programme was launched in July, 1967.

At the undergraduate level (B. E. / B. Tech.), this institute offers 832 seats in 7 different branches. Selections to these seats is done on the basis of a student’s All India Rank in the JEE Main 2015.The list given below mentions the opening and closing ranks of students across different categories that were selected to the various courses at this NIT in 2015.
