The Minimum Age Limit for the post of Tax Assistant will get decreased as per the notification from the Staff Selection Commission. The announcement is for ongoing SSC CGL 2018 exam. Candidates appearing in SSC CGL exam can check this notification on the official website, https://ssc.nic.in/.
The board released a notification yesterday, 5th August 2019 and mentioned that the minimum age limit for Tax Assistant post in CBEC Group (Central Board of Excise and Customs) is being revised.

Earlier the age limit for the Tax Assistant post was 20 to 27 years. Whereas, now it got revised to 18 to 27 years. The modification has been done in the minimum age limit. The tier 2 SSC CGL exam is scheduled to be held from 11th to 13th September 2019.
The selection process is purely based on candidate’s performance in tier 1 and tier 2 exam. The selected candidates will get posted as Tax Assistant in the concerned Ministries/ Departments/ Offices/ Cadres under Central Government.
