Round IV of Centralized Admission Process (CAP) will start tomorrow, July 21. Eligibility of candidates will depend upon the choice that they have exercised in earlier rounds. In case candidates have used the Freeze option, here is a step-by-step procedure they should follow:
If you have used the Freeze option, you cannot participate in CAP Round IV. To participate in CAP Round IV, the candidate should report to the Admission Reporting Centre (ARC) in person and submit an application to change the seat acceptance status from Freeze to Float during scheduled dates for ‘Option Form Submission and Confirmation for CAP Round IV‘.
The ARC Officer shall update your status in the Online System and then you will be able to participate in CAP Round IV. Submit and confirm Option Form online otherwise you will not be considered for allotment of CAP Round IV. While filling the option form, you can add new Choice Codes, delete Choice Codes, and change the preference numbers. However do not add the current Choice Code which is allotted to you, this will be added at the end by the online system.
Current seat allotted shall be retained and you are required to report to that institute. If a seat is allotted in CAP Round IV, your current seat allotted shall be automatically cancelled and you will be reporting to the new Institute / Course as per Allotment in CAP Round IV. If a seat is not allotted in CAP Round IV, your current seat shall be retained and you will be reporting to the current Institute / Course as per current allotment.
