The fresh option form filling for CAP (Central Admission Process) Round 4 link has been available on the DTE website way past the scheduled deadline. Candidates were instructed to fill and submit the form by July 28, 5pm (See image below).
Shri Dayanand Meshram, Joint Director, DTE and in-charge of handling CAP admissions, said, “As long as the link is available, candidates can continue filling the form. It is for the benefit of students as they have more time to edit their choices.” Although the DTE is contemplating allowing submission until 5.30pm, today July 29, there is no confirmed deadline for submission of the form as of now.
Sadly , candidates were not informed about the infinite extension of the deadline through any notification on the DTE website. There was a lot of confusion regarding the deadline, as to whether students should continue filling their form or submit it. This also raised concerns among those students who had submitted the form in a hurry before the scheduled deadline. To this Meshram replied saying, “Most students do not submit the form in advance. They would ideally wait til the last minute hoping to make additions to the form. Besides, this extension will allow students who had forgotten to fill the form.”

CAP Round 4 option form filling still available. Candidates are advised to fill their forms quickly. Provisional merit list for round 4 (final round of allocation) is scheduled to be released tomorrow, July 30, at 11am. Follow this section for updates about the merit list tomorrow.
