MDI celebrates its convocation with fanfare

Welcoming the chief guest, Mr N K Singh, Chairman of MDI Board of Governors exhorted the students to step out from their conventional box and think freely and creatively.

Dr Sujit k Basu, Director MDI, defined convocation as the celebration of completion of a journey, a student undertakes while in his college. He also shared his concerns regarding the globalization and its impact on higher education. He emphasized that the Indian higher education needs a systematic overhaul, so that we can educate much larger numbers without diluting our academic standards. He further expressed his desire to forge close partnership with major international, national, and regional organizations active in higher management education.

Mr. Anand Mahindra in his brief but crisp speech compared MDI with Dronacharya’s Gurukul where the great rulers and warriors, the Pandavas and Kauravas, were trained and educated.
