It’s a long wait for MTech students in Telangana as the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad has yet to declare the results even though it has been three months since the semester exams.
There are over 30,000 students enrolled for MTech across the state who appeared for the examination in the month of August. While it has been nearly three months, the university is yet to declare the results, causing anxiety among students.
“Since the university has not declared the results, I cannot take up project work. I have been checking the official website regularly for the last two months to know if the results have been declared, but in vain,” said Dinesh Reddy, an MTech student.
According to the university regulations, the authorities have to declare results within 60 days. However, it has been over two months that the students have been kept waiting for the results. “I have a backlog paper. Unless I know that I have cleared the exam, I cannot take up projects, apply for jobs, or appear for the viva,” said Ganesh Acharya, an MTech student.
According to sources, the delay in releasing results is due to lack of faculty for correcting the papers. However, university officials refuse the same and stated that they are awaiting approvals from the vice-chancellor. “We completed the evaluation process by mid-October. However, the file has been pending with the VC. As soon as we receive approval from the VC, we will release the result in the next couple of days,” said Anjaneya Prasad, director of evaluation in JNTUH.
Apparently, the delay is not only for MTech but also for other courses. Even those enrolled for MBA have been waiting for their results. “I have been waiting for my MBA final year results for the last two months. However, there is no news or update from the university on the same,” said Syed Azeem, an MBA student.
