LIC Assistant Prelims Exam Analysis 2019: Overall Exam Analysis (Shift -I)
In the exam conducted online there were 100 questions to be completed in an hour. While dealing with the three sections – Reasoning (35 Questions), Quantitative Aptitude (35 Questions), and English (30 Questions), candidates have to manage their 60 minutes effectively, and ideally slot 20 minutes for each section.

English Language/Hindi Language is qualifying in nature. As mentioned in the official notification, a candidate has to secure a minimum of 12 marks to qualify.
The level of English Language can be classified as Easy-Moderate. The topic of Reading Comprehension was related to a story of Wolf & Dog. As you must have practiced, Error Detection was asked in the following two forms:

It must be kept in mind that candidates need to mandatorily qualify the prelims to appear for the next phase of selections – Mains Examination. Going by the ratio of Vacancy: Number of candidates, the selection of candidates stands at 1:20.
The other point to consider is the overarching fear of negative marking. For each wrong answer marked by the candidates, 1/4th of the marks will be deducted. Hence, be doubly certain that you know the answer before you select! The cutoff marks will be revealed after the conclusion of the LIC Assistant Prelims Exam on 31 October 2019.
