To provide final touch to your preparation, we are sharing some last minute tips for RBI-Assistant Prelims – 2017.
- Numerical Ability – 35 questions – 35 marks
- Reasoning Ability -35 questions- 35 marks
- English Language – 30 questions -30 marks
- Duration of the Exam – 1 hour
Reasoning Ability
It will consist of 35 questions – 1 mark each.
Your priority should be to complete this section in 20 minutes
What should you attempt in first go?
1. Inequality – 5 question.
2. Syllogism – 5 questions.
3. Alphanumeric Series – 5 Questions
4. Miscellaneous question’s related to Blood relation, Direction sense, Coding -decoding etc.
5. We can expect three sets of Seating arrangement.
Type of Questions
8 people sitting around a circular table
(i) all facing inside.
(ii) all facing outside.
(iii) some facing inside or some facing outside.
We can expect Linear arrangement question’s too.
(i) Some facing North /Some facing South
(ii) All facing either North or South.
We can also expect puzzles (Floor based puzzle or weekdays with profession/color/city etc.)
Numerical Ability
You should try to give 25 minutes to this section so that you can score above cutoff score.
What should you attempt in first go?
You should start your attempt with Number Series which may contain series like
Addition / subtraction of square root, cube root , Addition /Subtraction / Division / Multiplication of certain number .
Type of Questions
Multiplication with 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5 etc.
Simplification /Approximation (Try Mental Calculation for this type of questions)
Data Interpretation (pie chart / bar chart / table / missing d.i)
Quadratic Equation (Try to check properly whether it is
x < y, x > y, x less / more than or equal to y, relation cannot be established
After solving these question’s you should start with the Miscellaneous question like S.I/C.I, S.T.D, Ages, Average, Profit & Loss.
English Language
Your priority should be that you should give almost 15 minutes to this section.
What should you attempt in first go?
Reading Comprehension – You should start with synonyms and antonyms.
Try to read two lines above the bold word or below it to get proper meaning of it.
For RC question you should read the question’s first and according to keyword try to answer all five questions. The time frame for RC questions should 4-6 minutes.
For close test, try to read the passage in first few minutes and then try to find answers for all questions.
Errors / Para jumble can be solved in next few minutes according to time availability.
Time management, Speed – Accuracy,
Negative marks of 0.25 marks per question
Qualifying Every Section should be your priority.
