Kshitij Garg and Piyush Kabra, both students from the Allen
Career Institute at Rajasthan, have bagged the Gold and Silver medals
respectively at the 47th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO).
The exam was conducted from 20th July to 28th July 2015
at Azerbaijan (Baku).
The 47th International Chemistry Olympiad is an international
knowledge competition. This year over 300 hundred students participated from 75
countries. Khistij Garg and Piyush Kabra were a part of four member team which
represented India at the International level.
“The best part was the exposure one gets at the time of meeting
best brains of the world in orientation camp. It was an experience worth a
lifetime,” said an ecstatic Kshitij.
Both the students prepared from the study material provided by
the coaching classes. “The Olympiad exam helped us to apply the knowledge we
have received during our coaching,” said Garg. He secured the 23rd
rank in JEE advanced and has now taken admission to IIT Bombay. He has also
scored 442 out of 450 in BIT SAT 2015. He was an NTSE scholar and received
fellowship in KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana). He has also qualified
for Astronomy Olympiad 2015.
Piyush Kabra, who won the Silver medal, was also a classroom program student at Allen. He scored the 525th rank in JEE advanced this year, and wishes to pursue B.Tech from IIT in the Mechanical Branch. He also is an NTSE scholar, and received a fellowship in KVPY.
“Allen’s students have been successful in different
Olympiads this year. In 26th Biology Olympiad ALLEN Classroom student Mudit Agarwal won a
silver medal, Vaidehi Rakholiya and Rishikesh Choudhary bagged a bronze medal
in this prestigious competition. Sheshansh Agarwal won a silver medal in
International Physics Olympiad. He is the only student to win 4 medals at
various international Olympiad. Total of 6 students from ALLEN Classroom this
year won medals in various International Olympiads.
