Coaching institutes of Kota and their students have proved their mettle in the KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana) 2016 Aptitude Test results. So far, the institutes have claimed 785 selections. RK Verma, Managing Director of Resonance Institute, Kota said that their institute has selections of around 381 students in KVPY. “224 students are of SX category (Class 12), 156 students of SA category (Class 11 – Science-Maths) and 1 student of SB (Class 11 passed – Science-Bio),” he said.
Meanwhile, Allen Career Institute of Kota has claimed the selection of 382 students in KVPY. Naveen Maheshwari, Director of Allen Career Institute said that 145 students are of Class 11 while 237 students of Class 12.
The Director of Career Point Institute, Shailendra Maheshwari, has claimed the selection of 22 students in the KVPY of which 5 students are of Class 11, 15 students of Class 12 and 2 students who have passed Class 12.
Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru organized the aptitude test of KVPY on November 6 at several cities across the country in which students of Class 11 and 12 participated. The holistic and scholastic level of the aspirants were tested, which will be followed by an interview of the successful aspirants. A final merit list will be prepared on the basis of 75% score of aptitude test and 25% score of interview.
Those aspirants who make it to the KVPY merit list will be provided monthly fellowships of Rs 5,000 for graduate courses and Rs 7,000 monthly for post-graduate courses while annual contingency grant of Rs 20,000 for graduate and Rs 28,000 for post-graduate courses will be given.
