Areas inhabited by students in Kota could appear cleaner as a leading coaching institute of Kota has donated an ‘E-Rikshaw’ to the local Municipal Corporation for ‘door-to-door’ garbage collection in that area of the city. The motive is to provide healthier environment for students residing in such areas.

Allen Career Institute provided the battery operated ‘E-Rikshaw’ to Om Birla, Member of Parliament of Lok Sabha from Kota who handed it over  to the Kota Municipal Corporation. Birla said that people of Kota should keep the city clean for the
coaching students who come from different parts of the country and stay in Kota “Only
initiatives like E Rikshaw can make this coaching city cleaner and healthier for
students and the local residents as well,” says Birla.

Director
of Allen Career Institute, Kota, Naveen Maheshwari said that the Allen Student
Welfare Society is making efforts to provide clean surroundings in the areas inhabited by coaching institute students. The ‘E-Rikshaw’ is eco-friendly since it
is battery operated and can collect up to 1000 kilograms of garbage. The E-Rikshaw has 4
batteries, which can help it run up to 70 kilometers. KMC in its ‘Green
Project’ will first collect garbage from ward no 28 of Kota city which is mostly populated by coaching students.
