Finzomania is
an annual Intra-college Quiz competition held by student-driven Finstreet Committee
of K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research. It’s
based on the areas like Finance, Economics, Strategy, and General Awareness,
etc. It tests the abilities of students not just in the area of finance but
general awareness as well.
2015 edition of Finzomania was recently organized in
SIMSR. The event witnessed stupendous presence and ebullient excitement. The event was
held in 3 rounds. First round consisted of an online quiz round. Various teams of two
participated in the event. Shortlisted candidates were invited for rounds 2 and
3. Round 2 comprised of another paper-based quiz. Round 2 was followed by round
3 which was an on stage-event.
Round 3 was organized in 3 parts as mentioned :
- Part 1 was a picture round.
- Part 2 was a MCQ quiz round.
- Part 3 was a
stream based round where the teams were given a choice of topics such as
Options and Derivatives, General Awareness, Banking, etc. Each team chose
a topic and was questioned on that.
There were many
buffer rounds between these rounds which were open to the audience and there
was enthusiastic response by everyone participating.

Winners: Team
Illuminati Participants- S. Vikas Raj and Jithin George, Won a cash prize of Rs.
2500.
Runners Up: Team Divided by Zero Participants- Kuntal Das
and Biswarup Das, Won a cash prize of Rs.1500.
