Having already extended the registration deadline for Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) February 2013 once (from January 2 to January 9), the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has extended the deadline by another three days to January 12, 2013.
Confirming the news to PaGaLGuY, SS Mantha, Chairman, AICTE said that after Haryana government, Karnataka state government sent their letter of acceptance two days ago. “Karnataka is a huge state and we need to give students time to fill up forms,” Mantha said.
He added that the positive response by various state governments is helping to smooth the way for CMAT. “With 1.45 lakh registrations by yesterday CMAT February 2013 has got the maximum applicants so far,” he said. While CMAT February 2012 had 70,000 applicants, CMAT September 2012 had 60,000 applicants.
The exam will be conducted from February 21-25, 2013 and the results will be declared on March 13, 2013.
