JSSC CGL Recruitment 2019: Important Dates, Application Fee and Eligibility Criteria

On the 14^th of September 2019 the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has released the notification for the Jharkhand General Graduate Level Combined Competitive Exam (JGGLCCE) 2019. As many as 1140 vacancies are available for graduates from all streams. The vacancies are for the posts of Assistant Bureau Officer, Block Supply Officer, Block Welfare Officer & Others. The recruitment is open only for the residents of the state of Jharkhand. Normally the written exam will be similar to the SSC CGL style, which is first the preliminary exam followed by mains and then the interview. But there is speculation that in case the number of applications doesn’t cross 15,000, the commission plans to eliminate the preliminary examination.

Important dates

As per the official notification the application process is completely online. The link for application will be active from the 18^th of September 2019 and candidates can apply up to the 17^th of October 2019. The last date for payment is 21^st of October 2019 and last date for upload of photo and signature is 23^rd of October 2019. Candidates can make any correction in the application form online from the 24^th to the 26^th of October 2019.

Application fee

Candidates are required to pay an application fee of 1000/- In case of SC/ST candidates an application fee of 250/- will be charged. Only online payment is allowed and candidates can pay the application fee through Net Banking facility or Debit/Credit cards.

Eligibility criteria

1. Only residents of Jharkhand are eligible for the JSSC CGL exam 2019
2. Age limit is considered as on 01.08.2019 and is as follows for different categories:
   1. Minimum age for all categories is 21 years
   2. Maximum age for UR Male – 35 years
   3. Maximum age for OBC/BC Male – 37 years
   4. Maximum age for UR/OBC/BC Female – 38 years
   5. Maximum age for SC/ST candidates – 40 years
3. Educational qualifications: Candidates should have a valid degree or equivalent certificate from any recognized college or university to be eligible for the exam.
