The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Secondary Education (JKBOSE) is the educational state board for the state of Jammu and Kashmir in India. The board looks into the education of thousands of schools, public and private, affiliated to it. Each year the JKBOSE conducts the Bi-annual examinations for classes 10 and 12 which is held twice in a year, according to different zones.
JKBOSE is set to conduct the class 10 Bi-annual examination in 2019. The process of admissions has now been closed by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Secondary Education. The board has also released the schedule class 10 Bi-annual session in 2020, which is also known as the Secondary School Examination.
The schedule released, states the dates that have been fixed for submitting the application cum permission form along with fees that have been prescribed for the Secondary School Examination. The schedule concerns those students, whose results had been declared on 3rd October 2019, for re-appearance, failure, backlog or other such reason.
While the admissions have been closed by JKBOSE for Class 10 Bi-annual examination, students who could not apply must not be disheartened. The board has informed that candidates can still submit their applications. However, they will have to pay a late fee for making the application.
Students will be given a time period till 27th November 2019 and will have to pay a late fee of Rs 1,430. If they still fail to submit their admission forms within this time period, a further extension will be provided until 9th December 2019. Students will then have to pay a late fee of Rs 2,370. However, students must not expect any further extensions and must make the application with the time period given to them.
The notification released by JKBOSE also stated that students can fulfill the eligibility criteria for the relevant examination before the last date for the submission of the application forms. For this purpose, they will be required to pay a prescribed fee of Rs 495.
While all these details are for the summer zone, here are some updates about the examination for the winter zone.
For the winter zone, JKBOSE is all set to conduct the Bi-annual Secondary (class 10) and Higher Secondary (class 12) examination in 2019. The examinations will be conducted between 29th October to 1st November 2019.

Additionally, after shutdown imposed by the government of India on 5th August 2019 on the Valley to bifurcate it into two separate union territories, the Jammu and Kashmir Government has also announced the dates for the annual examinations for students of classes 5 to 12. This is an attempt to bring back children to the school in order to make a start towards resuming normalcy in the Valley.
