The J.K. Institute of Applied
Physics & Technology is situated in the Allahabad University campus and has
a rich history attached to it. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru laid the foundation
stone for this institute and he formally inaugurated it in 1956. The
undergraduate course in Computer Science was started in 1982 and the institute
has a long-standing collaboration with organisations of repute such as the DRDO
(Defence Research and Development Organization).
