JEE Mains 2016 exam question paper analysis by Rao IIT

The overall difficulty level of the paper was normal as compared to the last three years’ JEE Mains question papers. In this year’s JEE exam, we observed that there were 2 to 3 questions in the Physics section which could have more than two correct answers from the given options. We haven’t observed any such errors in the other two sections.

Chemistry section was the most difficult of the three subjects. 3 to 4
questions were very tricky to solve.

Maths section was somewhat of the same level as compared to
the last three years. It was the easiest of the three subjects, we think students can score 120 out 120 in this section.

Getting full marks seems to be very difficult in this year’s paper.  The country topper would
get marks anywhere between 345-350.  We anticipate
a rise of 10% to 20% in the number of students getting over 300 marks in this years’
JEE Mains.

Students will get bonus marks if a question has an error. More emphasis was given to XII class NCERT books. The expected cut-off would be around 115-120 marks.
