Dear Students,
First of all, Congratulations to all those who are eligible
to appear for JEE Advanced 2015. You have cleared the first hurdle to securing your
seat in an IIT. Now, focus on your preparation, do well in the JEE Advanced and
you should be able to get into an IIT.
Know your competition
Do note that slightly more than 1.5 lakh students are
eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced. However, many candidates believe that
they do not stand any chance of clearing the JEE Advanced and getting into an
IIT. Hence, many candidates do not appear for this exam at all, making it
easier for you to get into an IIT. Last year, for example, over 25,000 candidates
(who were eligible for the JEE Advanced) did not appear for the exam at all. Thus,
you have a better chance of clearing the exam than you think! So, do not make
the mistake of not appearing for this exam. Even if you do not clear this exam,
you will get some experience of the JEE Advanced. This experience will be
helpful for you in case you appear for the JEE again next year.
