In the first year, 24 compulsory courses and in the second year, four compulsory courses are offered. Along with it every student has to choose 8 functional and four industry elective courses. Thus, a total of 40 courses are taught in MBA programme, along with 6-8 weeks corporate internship and 4 weeks social internship. MBA at JBS is unique as it includes mandatory social internship inculcating in the participants a sense of social responsibility and conscientious decision making. The ability to put in sustained and disciplined hard work over a sufficient length of time is one of the key factors to success in professional life. A typical trimester is designed to be intensive with an emphasis on regular and continuous work. The Evaluation System is accordingly designed to encourage this concept.
The Faculty at JBS is a healthy mix of Industry and academia. They have been the reason for JBS achieving such a place of eminence in just about five years; not only are they academically and professionally extremely competent but their emotional involvement with JBS is also immense. Apart from the full time faculty, the select industry baskets are taught by eminent faculties/managers from international universities, and practicing managers from the industry.
