We are born in a country with the second largest population and a high competitive spirit. The intellectual level of the person from India is already proved to the whole world and is being considered as one of the best. The European countries are afraid of their job been taken away by the bright minds of India. In this world where Indians are considered as the most competitive race, the situation in India is even worse.
As the time passes by the awareness has grown, making the competition more stringent. For a single chair we have thousands of people fighting and each one better than the other. According to the mathematics rule we can round off anything with more than .51 as 1. But can we do it in India?? The answer is No, and the reason is simple, there will be thousands of student who were lying within this range and it will be difficult for you to find out who is better.
Does this 0.3 really matters?? I cannot answer it right now, and we don’t even bother to think over it in college, but it is when you are filling the form for the most competitive exam of India(CAT) and your percentage being hovering around the range of 79.7-79.9% you realise the importance. You cant go back and had just 1 marks more in a subject which would have changed the whole scenario for you ahead by placing you ahead of around hundreds of student at just one go. The level of competition is that high in India and the people are fighting with their spirits high.
Hope this 0.3% doesn’t cost me much in future..:).
