i must say, initially i was a bit skeptical about this movie; the trailer was at best average, songs were not catchy enough, yet it feels great to catch the first show of the movie on the first say…and i’ll admit, Babli(Ranbir Kapoor) was a breathe of hilarious n enjoying air…
The movie is an excellent masala entertainer and full of moments where you will laugh your heart out…i won’t go into the story details as i don’t want to spill the beans for others but for all those who love typical Bollywood masala movies with lots of naach-gaana(which by the way is top-notch, considering the fact that Ranbir himself is an excellent dancer and the actress Pallavi as well matched him well), emotional melodrama, and maar-dhaar, it will give you a good enjoyable, laughable 2.18 hours. The acting is amazing; Rishi Kapoor sir n Neetu ma’am have an awesome onscreen chemistry; Javed Jaffrey as the antagonist Bheem Singh also delivers an enjoyable performance. This is first mainstream Bollywood movie of Pallavi and she has essayed the role of snobby, beautiful Tara Sharma with great excellence, and to forget her dancing skills ?
Although, some people in the theatre were irritated by the fact that there are many songs in the movie, but as i mentioned earlier, they are a treat to watch full of awesome, energetic and sometimes funny dance moves…
Do go for the movie; it will be a nice break. It is a complete family entertainer(with a family providing the entertainment) and much better than most of its previous counter-parts…
