August 2013: INS Sindhurakshak sank near Mumbai harbour, all 18 personnel died.
December 2013: Fire broke out at India’s leading mine sweeper, INS Konkan, while undergoing repairs at Vizag.
January 2014: INS Sindhughosh ran around when it entered the Mumbai harbour during the low tide.
February 2014: INS Airavat, an amphibious warfare vessel, ran aground. Commanding officer was removed.
Wednesday February 2014, was the recent one when INS Sindhurakshak joined this spate of accidents. And it is not about only Indian Navy’s accidents, similar accidents also occur in other defence forces also.
Whenever something like happens, the first question comes into our mind that who’s fault was that? , and then, Was that Navy’s chief’s fault? Was that the on board commanding officer? Was that defence ministry’s fault? Or, was it just a coincidence? It is not the government but we common people bear the cost of buying and upgrading these Giant Defence weapons in the from of taxes we pay. No one wants to take the responsibility for these kind of incidents. The maximum they do or they can do is to apologize but what about the people( the onboard crew) who lost their lives becaise of somebody else’s fault. I am taking stand for one particular side. But people join our defence forces to serve the country and not to just give away their lives. And if they are meant to die then not for these silly faults but for the sake of the motherland. Some people are very good at evaluating these officers and give their families as a compensation. Actual it is not the compensation, it the price that they give for keeping our mouth shut and whenever someone opens his/her mouth then they can say that they gave 1 crore or some other amount.
I mean if logically we think, government spend a lot of money to make these people brilliant soldiers, not to evaluate them at a later time but to make able to defence their own country from outside powers or sometimes from insiders also. These are human beings not some property so that you can calculate their price. If you are not getting a national integrity feeling then atleast think like being money minded that it is your tax, your money that they spend on a normal human to make him this capable. And now if the same human dies like this then I would say that it is our biggest loss. My words to people responsible for this recent incident:
Guyz, please understand the value of a LIFE. You can not fulfill this loss by emptying your BIG FAT pockets. May we are not saying anything because ,pitty on us that we ourselves chose for doing accomplishing this particular task, but we are watching THE YOUTH IS WATCHING………………………………………….JAI HIND
