Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar – Cutoffs for 2015

The JEE 2015 Seat Allocation process for the IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology) is finally over and most of the IITs have begun their academic year. So, let us now take a look at the cutoffs/closing ranks in 2015 for the different IITs. Candidates were finally selected to the IITs/ISM Dhanbad purely on the basis of their performance in the JEE Advanced 2015. This was also the first time that the IITs and ISM Dhanbad were a part of the Joint Seat Allocation Process that involved other reputed institutions like the NITs, IIITs, Other GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutes).

In this article, let us take a look at the cutoffs/closing ranks for the Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar.

The Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar (IIT Ropar), also known to as Indian Institute of Technology Punjab (IIT Punjab), is an engineering and technology higher education institute located in Rupnagar, Punjab, India. This new institute was established by MHRD in year 2008. The classes for academic session 2008-2009 were held at IIT Delhi. The Institute started functioning from its transit campus in Rupnagar in August 2009.

The Government of Punjab has approved about 525 acres of land for the permanent campus in Rupnagar. The location for permanent campus of IIT Ropar is Birla Seed Farms on the banks of the river Sutlej. The Foundation stone for the permanent campus of IIT Ropar was laid down on 24 February 2009.

This institute at the undergraduate level (B. E. / B. Tech.), offers degrees in 3 different branches. Selections to these seats was done on the basis of a student’s All India Rank in the JEE Advanced 2015.
