The JEE 2015 Seat
Allocation process for the GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutes) is finally
over and these institutes are scheduled to begin their academic year in August
2015. So, let us now take a look at the cutoffs/closing ranks in 2015 for the
different GFTIs. This series of articles will help you understand the
cutoffs/closing ranks for selection to each of the various branches in the
different GFTTs in 2015. This will also give you some idea about the expected
cutoffs/closing ranks for admission to these institutes in 2016.
Candidates were
finally selected to these colleges based on their performance in the JEE Main
2015 and their performance in the Class XII exam.
This institute was
established in 1856 as the Bengal Engineering College, Shibpur. It was later
known as Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibpur till 2014 after
which it was elevated to National Status. Selections to these seats are done on
the basis of a student’s All India Rank in the JEE Main 2015.
