Hi, I am Ayush Dhingra, currently in second year of PGDM from IMT Hyderabad. After my graduation in Engineering, I worked in HT Media Ltd for 3 years but there was a gap in my thinking process and the way in which an organization works. So, to move up my rank in the organization I decided to join a B school. There were a lot of things in my mind while I was deciding for a college to join for my management studies, and that same confusion stayed with me when I joined IMT. As the time passed I felt it was the best decision of my life to join IMT Hyderabad. PGDM is not just about studies, rather it is about how you deal in worst situations and our curriculum here in IMT Hyderabad is best in teaching that.
There are various student driven clubs and Committees which take care of our learnings on different fields of management, fun, extra curricular activities. All the clubs and Committees are student driven, with individual club events to annual management event of IMT Hyderabad, all the students and clubs flourish and offer many good events to participate, win and learn. Also, I have always been fond of sports and one of the things which I loved about IMT is that I got the opportunity to relive my life as a sportsman one more time.
Before joining IMT Hyderabad I always thought that MBA life would be similar to what I experienced in Graduation College in terms of faculties, the limitations to interact with them, and the course structure but to my surprise it has been totally different here. Every faculty here believes in and works on grooming a student to make him or her fit for the organization; their way of teaching the case pedagogy, the interaction with the practitioners, the simulations, and the leadership series with the top executives of the firms totally gives the practical knowledge required for the corporate world. This personality grooming is really helpful in many terms as it also changed my way of seeing things around or you could say it just opened my eyes.
The best part about this college is the students here, we are just like family and without any second thought I can say I love this IMT family whether they are my seniors, my batch mates or juniors. Also, we have the coolest Director and the most friendly, intellectual and helpful facilities who always act as a guiding light for students. Lastly, to talk about the placements, we are taught, and polished for the placement by our facilities from the start. I am very thankful to my college for providing me the platform to work with my dream company as I am placed at Amazon with a good package. I feel proud to be a part of IMT Hyderabad and I would always be associated with it.
