Tamil Nadu has consistently been a front-runner in world class
education in India and is one of the most literate states in India. Its
literacy rate was 80.33% in 2011, which is well above the national average. In

These colleges admit students to various programs in engineering
based on the students’ performance in the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission
(TNEA) test. The TNEA test for 2015 was conducted by Anna University in June,
2015. The counselling for various engineering colleges concluded on the 31st
of July, 2015. The TNEA exam 2015 was based on objective type questions on Mathematics,
physics and chemistry and candidates needed to answer 150 questions in 150
minutes. There was no negative marking and the test was administered in only in
English.
