Of all the
IITs and ISM, only IIT Kharagpur (IIT-Kgp) and IIT Roorkee (IIT-R) will provide
transportation facility to the new entrants from city’s railway station and bus
stand to the institute.
Date of
Reporting for both, IIT-Kgp, and IIT-R is July 21, 2016, and both the institutes
will provide transportation from July 20. The buses will be available every
hour from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on July 20, and from 8 a.m. to noon, on July 21. “Since
there are no local buses between the institute and railway station, we will
provide the transport for easy, hassle-free commute,” said an official from the
Student Affairs’ department at IIT-Kgp.
The JEE
Advanced Unit released the admission schedule for Indian Institutes of
Technology (IITs), and Indian School of Mines (ISM), on July 12, 2016, it is for
candidates who have accepted seats at IITs and ISM, for the 2016-2017 academic
year.
In the
schedule displayed on the official portal of JEE Advanced, students can look
for details like date of reporting for finishing the admission documentation
process, allocation of hostels, date of commencement of classes, fee details
etc.
