Indian Institute of Technology, Indore – Cutoffs for 2015

The JEE 2015 Seat Allocation process for the IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology) is finally over and most of the IITs have begun their academic year. So, let us now take a look at the cutoffs/closing ranks in 2015 for the different IITs. This series of articles will help you understand the cutoffs/closing ranks for selection to each of the various branches in the different IITs in 2015. Do note that only candidates who secured a rank among the top one and a half lakh aspirants who appeared for the JEE Main 2015 were eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced examination 2015. Candidates were finally selected to the IITs/ISM Dhanbad purely on the basis of their performance in the JEE Advanced 2015. This was also the first time that the IITs and ISM Dhanbad were a part of the Joint Seat Allocation Process that involved other reputed institutions like the NITs, IIITs, Other GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutes).

In this article, let us take a look at the cutoffs/closing ranks for the Indian Institute of Technology, Indore (IITI).

Indian Institute of Technology, Indore (IITI) is located in Madhya Pradesh and was established by the Government of India in 2009. The institution started functioning from 2009-10 on a temporary campus at Institute of Engineering and Technology of Devi Ahilyabai University. The foundation of the permanent campus was laid on 17th February 2009 at Simrol, about 25 km from the city of Indore. It is spread over an area of around 510-acre (2.1 sq.km). It is expected to be functional by the end of 2015.

Presently, IIT Indore is functioning from two locations: first one at IET-DAVV Campus (Khandwa Road) and another at PACL Campus (Hardnia Khedi Village, Indore-MHOW Road). The IET-DAVV Campus included the Materials Management section and Finance and Accounts Section. The School of Basic Sciences and the School of Humanities and Social Sciences are also functioning from this campus. There are various basic sciences labs established in this campus. The School of Engineering is functioning at PACL campus. There are various engineering labs are established in this campus. The Central Library is located in both the campuses. There are two hostels with 40 flats and 20 cottages.

At the undergraduate level (B. E. / B. Tech.), this institute offers seats in 3 different branches.Selections to these seats was done on the basis of a student’s All India Rank in the JEE Advanced 2015. The list given below mentions the opening and closing ranks of students across different categories that were selected to the various courses at this IIT in 2015.
