Main 2015 offline exam having been conducted and the online exam is just around
the corner, you must be wondering about the expected cutoffs for selections to
the IITs. So, we continue our series of
articles wherein we would discuss the cutoffs for selections to each of the

Selection process for IITs:
Candidates who secure
a rank among the top one and a half lakh aspirants who appeared for the JEE
Main 2015 are eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced examination 2015. The JEE
Advanced is the final stage in the selection process for the IITs/ ISM Dhanbad.
Candidates will finally be selected to the IITs/ ISM Dhanbad purely on the
basis of their performance in the JEE Advanced 2015. Based on the candidates’
performance in the JEE Advanced paper separate rank lists are generated
category wise. Seat allocation for each of the branches in each of the IITs is
done based on different category wise rank lists.

The Indian
Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT
Hyderabad, IITH) is a public
university started
in August 2008. IIT Hyderabad currently runs from a
temporary campus located at Ordnance
Factory Medak’s estate in Yeddumailaram, while the permanent campus in Kandi
being constructed. IITH’s permanent campus measures 576-acre (2.33 sq.km)
and is on NH-9 near the Outer Ring Road (Hyderabad).
At the undergraduate level (B. E. / B.
