Selection process for IITs:
Candidates who secure
a rank among the top one and a half lakh aspirants who appeared for the JEE
Main 2015 are eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced examination 2015. The JEE
Advanced is the final stage in the selection process for the IITs/ ISM Dhanbad.
Candidates will finally be selected to the IITs/ ISM Dhanbad purely on the
basis of their performance in the JEE Advanced 2015. Based on the candidates’
performance in the JEE Advanced paper separate rank lists are generated
category wise. Seat allocation for each of the branches in each of the IITs is
done based on different category wise rank lists.

Indian Institute of
Technology, Guwahati is the sixth member of the IIT fraternity. It was
established in 1994 while the academic programme of IIT Guwahati commenced in
1995.The campus is on a sprawling 700 acres plot of land on the north bank of
the river Brahmaputra. The majestic Brahmaputra is to one side; with hills and
vast open spaces on others.
At the undergraduate level (B. E. / B.
