“The tournament saw participation from 120 golfers, including 20 corporate participants,” stated their official release. Business schools competed on the first day and the second day included corporate participants. The event saw guests like Mr Ashok Thakur (IAS), Additional secretary, Ministry of HRD; Mr. Ranjan Chatterjee (IAS), Chief secretary, Government of Meghalaya and the Governor of Meghalaya, as per the statement.
“This tournament is an attempt to facilitate interface between the cream of corporate and academic world,” said the release. The school aims at making the tournament a regular and popular amateur golf tour of the country in coming years.
