At
present, IIIT Una (Saloh) is functioning from its temporary premises at NIT
Hamirpur. The permanent campus is coming up in the District of Una in Himachal
Pradesh. It is a part of the PPP (Public Private Partnership) project. The
partners setting up IIIT Una (Saloh) are the Ministry of Human Resource
Development, Govt. of India, the Govt. of Himachal Pardesh, HP Power
Corporation Limited and HP Transmission Corporation Limited.
At
the Hamirpur campus each hostel
has a solar heating system, own recreation hall with badminton court and table
tennis tables. There is a separate gym for the boys and girls. Internet is
provided in every hostel room. Requirements and teaching is handled by the mentor institute ie. NIT Hamirpur

B.Tech. Programmes at IIIT Una (Saloh) for the Year-2014 were
offered in

Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)

Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)
Each
programme admits 30 students and the seats are filled up on the basis of All
India Rank in JEE.
The
school’s system of assessment is credit based and constantly evaluates students
through tests, surprise quizzes, home assignments, laboratory work, industry
projects, and presentations.
More than just studies
HILL’FFAIR is the much
anticipated cultural event at NIT Hamirpur. The rock show, fashion parade, and
the Mr. and Miss Hill ‘Ffair competitions are some of the favourite shows. Nimbus is the Annual Technical Festival of NIT Hamirpur.
The students of IIIT Una also enjoy the same benefits as the students of NIT.
